The Drive…
The air is perfumed with woodsmoke. Warm light spills across chipped brick and worn floorboards, disappearing into the soft green of the leaves. Your date sits beside you, beautiful in the amber glow of the room. You've found a quiet corner of the bar, lost in conversation, the rest of the world beginning to feel increasingly distant.
Somewhere in the background, a song is playing. You barely notice it at first, but somehow it becomes part of the evening - woven into the conversation, the atmosphere, the person sitting beside you. Years from now, a few familiar notes might be all it takes to bring you back to this very moment.
LAINE has always been drawn to this kind of connection. Having lived every moment of his life with a soundtrack, songs and artists have become inseparable from the emotions, people and memories attached to them.
It is this sentiment that sits at the heart of LAINE's artistry: a desire to create music that feels lived-in, personal and intimate. Songs that find their way into the ordinary moments of someone's life, becoming quietly intertwined with their experiences, relationships and memories.

LAINE is an Australian pop and indie-pop artist, songwriter and producer based in Melbourne.
Blending intimate songwriting with contemporary pop production and a distinct focus on vocal performance, LAINE creates emotionally direct music exploring relationships, attraction, memory and the quiet romances of everyday life.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Audio from SAE, LAINE brings a production-led approach to his artistry. Having spent nearly a decade refining his craft as a songwriter and music producer, he now brings his experience and creative vision together under his own artist project.
His debut single, Eyes On You, arrives October 16, marking the beginning of his solo venture. The release is accompanied by an official music video, a series of short-form visual pieces and a one-night-only live showcase at Melbourne’s Bakehouse Studios, featuring a full-band performance.
With a considered approach to music, live performance and visual storytelling, LAINE is developing a cohesive artistic identity that extends beyond the recording itself. Built independently alongside a small creative team, the project represents the beginning of a broader creative vision, with ambitions to connect with audiences both in Australia and internationally.
